Stephen Bernstein, MD
Chief Medical Director
Dr. Stephen Bernstein is a Board Certified Rheumatologist and Internal Medicine doctor in New York, New York. He has been practicing for more than 30 years and actively follows the latest market research and clinical trials so that he can provide his patients with the newest and safest options when it comes to tailoring medical care to their individual needs.
Dr. Bernstein has been the recent recipient of awards such as the Patient Choice Award (2018, 2020), On-Time Doctor Award (2020), and Compassionate Doctor Recognition (2020). He is affiliated with NYU Langone, Lenox Hill Hospital, the VA and is fluent in both English and Italian.
Marty Levy, PA-C, MPAS
Marty is a Physician Assistant who has experience in internal medicine, critical care, trigger point injections, and both cosmetic and medical aesthetics. With a passion for serving his community, Marty spent years as a volunteer firefighter and EMT before going to PA school at Touro College of Health Sciences and graduating with high honors. Marty has always strived for the best outcome for all of his patients and prides himself on his ability to skillfully perform procedures as well as compassionately communicate with his patients. Marty spends his free time at the gym and with his animals.
Peter Arebalo
Director of Massage
Peter is one of the most sought after Licensed Massage Therapist and Trauma Resolution Facilitators on Long Island, focusing on techniques of subtle body adjustment and massage. He is fully present to his client’s needs and comfort levels and this intuition and connection elevates his deep tissue kinetic bodywork to a higher standard that truly sets him apart.
Being an avid seeker of both personal inner-growth and wellness, Peter has encountered a profound method of self-discovery called The Diamond Approach. The Diamond Approach is a path of deep self-exploration guided through the process and cultivation of mindfulness, inquiry, meditation, and embodied presence. In his work, Peter teaches clients how to “be here now”; cognizant and connected to their bodies and place in the Universe.
Peter spends his free time surfing, hiking, cooking, and studying Jiu Jitsu.

Office Manager
As Office Manager, Nicole brings over a decade of experience managing all facets of daily operations for Heka. Nicole’s expertise includes, initial patient consultations, staff management, insurance coordination, and social media marketing. Over the course of her career, she has been directly responsible for implementing new and creative ways of maximizing the overall productivity and efficiency for legal and medical practices alike.
In her spare time Nicole enjoys teaching yoga and playing with her dog.
